Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Counselling is a brief and confidential counselling service provided to employees and paid for by their employer. EAP counselling is unique in that it is brief in nature, and covers a wide variety of presenting issues.

In this full day workshop, participants will gain knowkedge and skills specific to the EAP Counselling environment including, confidentiality, working with limited sessions, organisational involvement, conflict of interest, working with organisational stress, bullying and harrassment, and defining boundaries in EAP counselling. We also explore the particular challenges of working in the EAP context, with particular respect to the need to manage the relationship between the client, the EAP provider and the client organisation. This workshop is facilitated by experienced EAP practitioners, and content is supported with case studies and group activities.
