Coaching

The role of the coach has long been recognised in elite sport as an essential requirement to maximise performance and promote excellence.  Studies have proven that 88% of effective leadership comes from good people management, and just 12% comes from technical knowledge.

Coaching is often described as “making good managers great.” It is an effective, structured and practical way of ensuring managers reach their personal and professional goals.  Coaching can enhance manager’s skills in:

  • Managing people
  • Maximising productivity
  • Decision making
  • Communication
  • Stress management
  • Personal and professional growth

The International Personnel Management Association reported that the effects of generalised professional development training increased productivity by 22.4%.  Coaching increased productivity by 88%.

Once we have assisted in clarifying your goals, a program is tailored to your unique needs.  This often includes psychometric testing to enhance awareness and highlight areas that may benefit from further focus.  One on one coaching sessions include concrete strategies with ongoing rehearsal and integration into your daily work.  Sessions may be weekly or fortnightly, and can often include a written summary report where requested.
