Working with Children

This workshop is carefully designed to introduce participants to the most current skills, theory and concepts in working with children. When helping children therapeutically, it is important to be well equipped with strategies to clearly understand and support them.

Participants will develop an understanding of Child Centred Principles for working with primary aged children. They will explore a variety of therapeutic resources and activites useful for working with children, both directive and non-directive. There will be a focus on experiential learning and practical applications of therapeutic resources. This workshop will also assist professionals with self care strategies for working with children.

It is ideal for all professionals working with children such as early education and teaching, social work, psychology and counselling.

Light lunch and refreshments provided.
