Grief is very often an underlying and unresolved issue presented by many clients. It is often linked with trauma and can remain unresolved and unrecognised for years.
This workshop will explore how grief can deeply impact on the lives of many clients, both individually and in relationships. It will explore the nature of grief and offer skills in identifying it amongst many issues presented by clients.
The workshop will be both educational experiential offering particpants the opportunity to explore case scenarios from their client groups, as well as issues pertaining to serious and terminal illness and death.
This is a challenging workshop to assist health professionals develop practical skills, a personal understanding of grief and some awareness of how this work can impact on them.
This workshop is suitable for professionals trained in social work, psychology, counselling, allied health care, general nursing and palliative care.
Light lunch and refreshments provided.
