From Counselling to Therapy - ^NEW!

Many health professionals have been trained in basic counselling skills and as their experience grows they want to develop a more therapeutic style of intervention. This can be a challenging time both personally and professionally as they seek to work with clients at a deeper level.

This workshop will help participants develop the skills needed to respond to clients therapeutically, as well as a framework within which to understand client issues.

As an experiential workshop, participants will be encouraged to talk about some of their own clients, having the opportunity to "have a go" at working at a deeper level in a safe space with an experienced facilitator.

Practical implications of this level of work will be considered and participants will be encouraged to work in a way that is respectful of their own values and existing skills.

This workshop is suitable for psychologists, social workers and counsellors who have experience in counselling and keen to develop and deepen their skills.

Light lunch and refreshments provided.
